63 Air Transport Wing
Besides air transport by means of the Transall C-160, 63 Air Transport Wing is responsible for patient evacuation within the scope of MEDEVAC.
Mission
Overview of the task spectrum:
- conducting air transport by means of the Transall C-160 weapon system,
- conducting patient evacuation within the scope of MEDEVAC (medical evacuation),
- satisfying the air transport requirements of the Air Force, the Army, the Navy, the Joint Support and Enabling Service and the central military and political-parliamentary areas.
Conducting:
- deployment transport,
- logistic air transport,
- airborne operations,
- evacuation of wounded, injured and sick personnel (MEDEVAC – medical evacuation).
Additionally, satisfying the air transport requirements as regards:
- special air transport operations (disaster assistance),
- disaster control,
- flying training,
- tactical operational training.
