Project-based Procurement and In-Service Use
The General Publication “Project-based Procurement and In-Service Use” is a procedural regulation (latest update of the former Customer Project Management – CPMCustomer Product Management) for determining and meeting the Bundeswehr demand. The central standards defined in the “Project-based Procurement and In-Service Use” document aim at shortening the time required for the procurement effort by means of a lean process and reduced administrative workload. The aim is to be able to meet the identified Bundeswehr demand faster and in a cost-effective manner by reducing the requirements to the absolutely necessary level and focusing on time as the main priority.
Off-the-shelf or commercially available products are in focus, to take the time factor into account as much as possible.
As a consequence, the implementation of the General Publication “Project-based Procurement and In-Service Use” leads to a faster procurement of goods and services in the demanding threat situation in Europe.
