Address

  • What does the coat of arms of the Regional Territorial Command Lower Saxony represent?

The unit crest dates back to 2006. The top right-hand corner of the shield features the coat of arms of Lower Saxony: a white steed on a red background, symbolising affiliation with the federal state. Shown next to it is the national emblem, the German federal eagle. Like the German flag, in front of which it is shown, its colours are black, red and gold. The Iron Cross in the lower field has great significance in the cultivation of the Bundeswehr’s traditions. It stands for bravery, honour and a love of freedom.
