Good cooperation within the scope of administrative assistance: the Bundeswehr provided immediate support following the collapse of the Carola Bridge in Dresden.

Address

  • What does the coat of arms of the Regional Territorial Command Saxony represent?

The upper part of the coat of arms features crossed sabres as a symbol of the Saxon cavalry. The background shows the flag colours of the Free State of Saxony. Shown in the centre is the yellow and black shield known as the coat of arms of Dresden, Saxony’s state capital. The black lion is a reference to the early coat of arms of Meissen – another historic symbol of Saxony. The coat of arms thereby combines the overriding symbolism and the affiliation of the Regional Territorial Command with its federal state.
