Bundeswehr

Bundeswehr Institute of Radiobiology in cooperation with the University of Ulm will host the 24th Nuclear Medical Defence Conference ConRad 2021 at the Bundeswehr Medical Academy. This continues the successful series of Conferences on Radiation Topics.

The conference offers an international scientific forum for the interdisciplinary exchange on different radiation topics, as for instance operational readiness and responsibilities in the event of radiological incidents, radiation protection and research. The upcoming conference will especially focus on the field of gene expression for biodosimetry and effect prediction purposes, the re-evaluation of radiological and nuclear incidents on the basis of the latest knowledge, as well as potential insights gained with regard to operational preparedness in radio-nuclear scenarios in the context of the COVID-19Coronavirus Disease 2019 pandemic.

Given the restrictions regarding major events, the conference will be organised at least as a hybrid event, possibly as a completely virtual conference. At radiation-medicine, you find continuously updated further information on registration, the submission of scientific contributions, as well as administrative details.
