With a strength of 3,000 Bundeswehr servicemen and women, the Bundeswehr military police is stationed at 25 locations throughout Germany. Its headquarters, the Bundeswehr Military Police Command, is based in Hanover. From there, the headquarters staff (approx. 150 personnel) exercises command and control of the entire Bundeswehr military police force, and coordinates operations, training and further development.
With a staff of approximately 150 personnel stationed at Scharnhorst barracks, the Bundeswehr Military Police Command exercises command and control of the entire military police force. In the Bundeswehr Joint Support Command, the Bundeswehr Military Police Command acts as the central point of contact for the Army, Air Force, Navy, and the Cyber and Information Domain Service regarding all areas of military policing. It is the Bundeswehr agency where the command and control, operations, training and further development of the military police force are centralised.
