The Bundeswehr Military Police (MP) operate on land, in the air, at sea, and in the cyber and information domain. Wherever the Bundeswehr is operating, the MP will use their expertise to ensure the operational readiness of the armed forces. Bundeswehr Military Police forces are available and able to respond on a 24/7 basis, and they are ready to deploy around the world – especially in national and collective defence scenarios. Their military tasks and policing specialisations include, for example, close protection, SWAT operations, inquiries and investigations, and employment as MP marksmen or working dog handlers.
