CBRNchemical, biological, radiological, nuclear defence is a key capability of the Bundeswehr Joint Support Command in hybrid threat situations and in a state of defence. The Bundeswehr’s CBRNchemical, biological, radiological, nuclear defence specialists protect the armed forces and ensure their survivability. Whether in national and collective defence or in hybrid threat situations, CBRNchemical, biological, radiological, nuclear defence forces are indispensable. They detect and identify chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear hazards; neutralise threats; and guarantee sustainable operational readiness. In a state of defence, they are capable of ensuring force protection like hardly any other of the arms and services.
